From her early days singing with her parents\u2019 band to becoming a standout on\u00a0American Idol<\/em>, Haley Reinhart has carved a unique path in the music world. Buzzfeed ranked her cover of\u00a0Bennie and the Jets<\/em>\u00a0as the most iconic performance in the show\u2019s history. She\u2019s known for her soulful interpretations of classics like\u00a0Creep<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Can\u2019t Help Falling in Love<\/em>, which have racked up millions of views online.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley\u2019s journey started when she joined her high school jazz band for performances at the Montreux and Umbria Jazz Festivals. \u201cThey had never had a singer before,\u201d she recalls. \u201cI basically just threw myself out there with nothing to lose.\u201d <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Her jazzy rendition of Radiohead\u2019s\u00a0Creep<\/em>\u00a0with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox <\/a>became a viral sensation. Surprisingly, the video was filmed on a rare day off during a grueling tour. \u201cWe only did two takes and took the first one,\u201d Haley says. \u201cI think it captured a vulnerable quality that people connected to.\u201d<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Known for her powerful vocals and distinctive growl, Haley says the technique developed naturally during her time on\u00a0American Idol<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s just something that comes from the diaphragm,\u201d she notes, adding that it\u2019s become an authentic part of her style.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
