A Brief History of Vice

A Brief History of Vice cover artThere’s always that one guy you know in high school who has  questionably sane ideas. In my high school, that guy was Jay. He liked to play “The Knockout Game,” the object of which was to be knocked unconscious. He liked to jump off moving car. He loved chaos.

I have a feeling that Robert Evans, my guest this week and author of A Brief History of Vice: How Bad Behavior Built Civilizationwas that guy in high school. His book describes not only the history of vice but his personal experiences with it and how he’s introduced his friends to taking various preparations of “vice.” Join us for a discussion of how drunken monkeys may have led the path to society as we know it.
