Nels Andrews interview

Looking for something to do in Columbus on October 18? Check out Six String Concerts performer Nels Andrews. During our interview, he opens up about his writing style, which involves his chauffeuring job with “The Countess of Glamor” and the “deep emotional pining” necessary to write his songs.

This would make a great listener call-in for Craft: Your First Illicit Reading Experience – NYTimes.com.

Improv guests go wild

My guests on Craft for September 4 will be Nate Varrone and Dan White, two recent OSU graduates living in Chicago and performing improv whenever possible. As students at OSU, they were part of the OSU improv scene and I interviewed them for Writers Talk and worked with them on a Christmas special – one of the darkest holiday specials ever aired on WCBE. But it was funny.

Scary.

But funny.

Anyway, they’ll be on next week, so tune in to see if they can create a sketch on the spot that features the words “cider” and “pop top.” It’s sure to be creative.
