Insightful, funny, and smart: Vienna Teng visits Craft and discusses her music, her background, and her education. Want to know her take on religion and graduate school? Check out our interview and then attend her September 28 show in Kent, Ohio (or many other states, or Germany, or the UK).

I’m catching up posting some of the previous shows. Here’s the terrific Maureen Metcalf from earlier this summer discussing her book, Innovative Leaders Guide to Transforming Organizations.

I have an interview with the fantastic Vienna Teng this Thursday evening! Whoo hoo! If you live in Ohio, consider attending her September 28 show in Kent, Ohio. I’ll post the interview audio here as soon as it’s finished. Awesome.
I interviewed Tess Gerritsen a while back and she was an excellent person to talk to, as well as a very interesting writer. Check out her Westerville Library Facebook chat on September 4.

Here’s the infamous “Naked Nate” sketch from this week’s guests Dan White and Nate Varrone.
Warning: humorous nudity.
The excellent comic book illustrator Neal Adams will be my guest on September 11 at 8 pm on WCBE. Here’s where to catch him in Columbus on September 20-22, plus lots of other great guests. I’ve got my tickets, do you?

My guests on Craft for September 4 will be Nate Varrone and Dan White, two recent OSU graduates living in Chicago and performing improv whenever possible. As students at OSU, they were part of the OSU improv scene and I interviewed them for Writers Talk and worked with them on a Christmas special – one of the darkest holiday specials ever aired on WCBE. But it was funny.
Scary.
But funny.
Anyway, they’ll be on next week, so tune in to see if they can create a sketch on the spot that features the words “cider” and “pop top.” It’s sure to be creative.
There’s a commercial running right now about how we’re recording the world digitally. While this is certainly true, I wonder what we’re recording and what will happen to it all. Alan Lomax made it his life’s work to record the folk music he loved. May your recordings be as durable and valuable: Alan Lomaxs Massive Archive Goes Online : The Record : NPR.
